President Obama met with victims of the Oregon college shooting, but many in Roseburg greeted him with protest signs and shouts.
FOX News Radio's Jessica Rosenthal reports:
He was headed to the West Coast anyway for fundraisers, but when President Obama stopped in Roseburg he was greeted by protesters...
(Protester) "Go home!"
Many in Roseburg are gun owners and they were offended that immediately after the shooting in which nine were killed and nine others injured, the President talked about the need for more gun laws.
After meeting with the families Friday he stayed off of the gun topic, but did say...
(President Obama) "We're going to have to come together as a country to see how we can prevent these issues from taking place, but today it's about the families."
The President is now considering an executive order that would increase background check requirements for gun purchases.
