The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced their nominees.

FOX News Radio's Michelle Pollino reports:

The Cars, Chicago, Chaka Khan, Cheap Trick, and Los Lobos will join Janet Jackson and Steve Miller.  They're all being considered for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the first time.

More than 800 artists and members of the music industry will vote and those that are chosen will be announced in December.

Some of the artists back on the ballot for another try at getting into the famed hall are Chic, Deep Purple, N.W.A., Nine Inch Nails, The Smiths, The Spinners and Yes.
