Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger Team Up For HBO’s ‘Vinyl’
Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger’s team effort ‘Vinyl’, which explores the changing face of music in the 1970’s is set to premiere in January.
FOX News Radio’s Michelle Pollino reports:
What happens when Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger decide to work on a rock and roll drama?… Now add a little Terence Winter, creator of ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and the screenwriter for ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and you have ‘Vinyl’.
(Cannavale) “Think back to the first time you heard a song that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, that’s rock and roll!”
That’s Bobby Cannavale in the lead role as the President of the fictional American Century recording label.
‘Vinyl’ explores the music revolution of the 1970’s in New York that gave rise to punk, disco, and hip-hop… the genres that challenged the ideas of what rock and roll was.
‘Vinyl’ premieres in January of 2016 on HBO.
