Deportation Numbers Down Under Obama Administration
The Obama administration is deporting fewer illegal immigrants.
FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
The government sent around 231,000 illegal immigrants home over the past year, the fewest since 2006 and a 42% drop since 2012, that’s according to figures obtained by the Associated Press.
President Obama’s immigration authorities hit a record of more than 409,000 deportations in 2012.
Numbers have been declining over the past three years and are now at their lowest levels since President Obama took office in 2009, despite his pledge to focus on finding and deporting criminals living in the country illegally.
