Congress Closer To Avoiding Government Shutdown Over Planned Parenthood
It looks like the fight over Planned Parenthood will not shut down the government this week.
FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
The Senate is set to pass a stopgap spending bill that would keep the government up and running through December 11. It sidesteps calls to defund the agency amid allegations it profits from its tissue donation program.
After the spending bill clears the Senate, it heads to the House, where outgoing Speaker John Boehner has said it will get a vote.
The House is expected to approve the measure by midnight Wednesday.
