Elton John Receives a Call From Russian President Vladimir Putin

A couple of Russian pranksters fooled Elton John into thinking he spoke with Vladimir Putin, but now the real Russian President called the superstar.

FOX News Radio’s Michelle Pollino reports:

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called Elton John… for real. This, after the superstar was pranked into believing Putin called him. The Russia Insider posted the call on YouTube.

Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian President took time Thursday to speak to John, quoting Putin as saying, “I know that these phone pranksters fooled you. Please don’t be angry with them.”

Putin also said if their schedules permit, he would be willing to meet him. John recently criticized comments by Putin suggesting that gay people prey on children.
