The hottest ticket item in Washington may not be a ticket to see the Pope.

FOX News Radio's Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Pope bobbleheads are flying off the shelves at the Catholic Information Center here in Washington. The Chief Operating Officer told Washingtonian magazine that his original shipments sold out in about a week, so he has ordered more. About 300 are set to arrive today. The white figurines are also selling fast online.

The company that makes them, Royal Bobbles, told "Time" the Pope Francis bobblehead has a slightly smaller head than usual and doesn't "bob" as much as others... in an effort to be respectful of the leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
