Donald Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, pledging not to go it alone even if he doesn't win the GOP nomination. This, after a New York meeting with the Republican party chief.

Trump says he is fully on board with the Republicans even beyond the primary process. At his news conference, he was asked if anything was promised which could cover an advisory role or even a keynote at the convention. He said what he got was...

(Trump) "Absolutely nothing other than the assurance that I would be treated fairly... And I've seen that over the last few months."

Trump even toned down his usual blustery approach for this event, talking issues and even speaking in kinder terms about his GOP rivals.
