Martin Truex Jr. Sets Sights On Pocono
NASCAR makes another trip this Sunday to the tricky triangle… Pocono Raceway for the Windows 10 400. Can Kyle Busch keep on winning? And, Michael Waltrip Racing and Chip Gnassi Racing make a deal.
FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh reports in “FOX in the Fast Lane”:
Martin Truex Jr. would like to make it a clean sweep of both races at Pocono as drivers return this weekend to the Tricky Triangle, but first he’ll have to beat Kyle Busch:
(Busch)”We’d love nothing more than to be able to go to Pocono this weekend and capitalize on another victory and make it four in a row and knock off another race track that I have yet to score a win. So that would be pretty cool.”
Ask Kyle what’s even more important than a Pocono win and the answer is:
(Busch) “There’s still that elusive championship as well that we want to achieve.”
I spoke to Erik Jones who drives for Kyle Busch Motor Sports in the Truck Series, who had high praise for what his boss has accomplished:
(Jones)”Anytime a driver can go on a run like it’s just amazing.”
And, Michael Waltrip Racing co-owner Rob Kauffman has agreed to buy an interest in Chip Ganassi Racing. Though MWR says nothing will change for the rest of the season… There are reports Kauffman would move Clint Bowyer from Waltrip to Ganassi Racing… Making it a three car team.
