Tom Brady Responds After NFL Upholds Suspension
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says he’ll fight his four-game suspension for the deflategate scandal.
FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers has details:
Tom Brady’s statement was a 507-word Facebook post that said “I did nothing wrong, and no one in the Patriots organization did, either”.
It comes a day after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell upheld the suspension.
Brady also denied destroying his cell phone to keep it out of the hands of investigators.
In addition to his suspension, the team was docked a million dollars and two draft picks after the League found improperly inflated footballs were used in the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Patriots, who went on to win the Super Bowl, are scheduled to open training camp today.
It’s not clear when Brady will speak to the media about the matter.
