Should Military Recruiters Carry Weapons?

The military is considering whether to have recruiters carry weapons.

FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:

Because of that deadly Marine recruiting station shooting in Chattanooga last week, Senators ask nominee to be chief of staff of the Army, General Mark Milley, whether recruiters on duty should be armed.

(Milley) ”I think under certain conditions, both on military bases, and in out stations, recruiting stations, reserve centers, that we should seriously consider it, and in some cases I think it’s appropriate.”

General Milley also says recruiting facilities can be hardened against attacks, for example with bulletproof glass.
