Michigan Denies Kid Rock Prison Request

Singer Kid Rock is not allowed to rock a certain venue in Michigan.

FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony reports:

Kid Rock sings:

(Kid Rock) “I was born free…”

But he’s not free enough… to go to prison.

The Michigan Department of Corrections has denied a request to let Kid Rock perform and record a live concert at a women’s prison in Ypsilanti. Similar to what the ‘Man in Black’ once did:

(Johnny Cash) “Hello, I’m Johnny Cash.”

His concert at Folsom Prison in California in 1968 revived Cash’s career and became an all-time classic album.

Michigan officials worry Kid Rock’s appearance could create security problems. They are talking about letting him film inside a vacant prison north of Detroit.
