A late-night NASCAR thriller has a wild finish.

FOX News Radio's Steve Rappoport has the story.

It took until the wee hours of Monday morning to get a winner after a lengthy rain delay.

(Call Courtesy NBC Sports) "Dale Earnhardt Jr. to the bottom of the track. Junior will win at Daytona. And the big one happens behind them."

The call on NBC Sports.

Junior's victory overshadowed by a horrific crash on the last lap that sent Austin Dillon's car flying upside down into the fence.

(Earnhardt Jr.) "I saw everything in the mirror pretty clearly. And that car really went up in the air pretty high."

The car came to rest on its roof, but Dillon miraculously walked away with only a few bruises. Several fans injured by debris.
