The cheering well deserved as 66 people - count them - the Guinness people did - 66 people rode a surf board successfully to set a new World Record for the number of people riding a wave. About 5,000 people gathered to watch them, crammed onto a 42 foot board, off the Huntington Beach California Pier. The old record, 47 surfers, was set 10 years ago in Queensland, Australia.
