Following Pocono Win, Martin Truex Jr. Talks About The Future
While the Xfinity and Camping World Series have races this week, the Sprint Cup series is on a break… Martin Truex Jr. thinks about the future, Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets engaged, and Austin Dillon gets a new crew chief.

Furniture Row Racing’s Martin Truex Jr. may be in the Chase thanks to a win at Pocono, but he told me a lot can happen between now and September when the Chase starts:
(Truex Jr.) “There’s still mountains to climb and things to conquer… We haven’t, you know, won a championship, this is one race, we’ve got a lot of work to do yet.”
Truex believes this win by the Denver based team shows:
(Truex Jr.) “There’s room for a lot more competitive single car teams, you know, to, to kinda of evolve and, and come to the forefront and be able to compete.”
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is getting married! While enjoying a family vacation this week in Germany and to research his family history, Earnhardt proposed to longtime girlfriend Amy Reimann. The happy couple posting the good news on Twitter.
And, Richard Childress Racing announces Richard ‘Slugger’ Labbe is taking over as Austin Dillon’s crew chief starting next week at Sonoma. Dillon, a two time Xfinity Series champ is now in his second year in the cup series and has yet to win.
