Recovery efforts continue in Texas where at least four people have died and others are missing after record rainfall.

FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers has the story:

Twelve people in two families are missing after a vacation home was swept off its foundation in Wimberley, Texas.

In Houston, homes were damaged and 2,000 people were evacuated.

(Resident) ”I just don’t want to get washed away. We’ve got Lake Conroe right behind us, so if the dam breaks and we get washed into Lake Conroe that’s the end of it.”

The National Weather Service says between six and ten inches of rain has fallen there.

Evacuations are underway in Austin… With rising water still threatening homes.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has declared disaster areas in 37 counties so far.
