Kids Injured In Florida After Waterspout Sends Bounce House Flying
It was a ride some Florida children won’t soon forget.
FOX News Radio’s Jane Metzler reports a waterspout sent a bouncy house soaring:
(Witness) “I was scared! It was frightening!”
She was at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park when a waterspout came ashore, downing light poles and lifting an inflatable bouncy house off the ground. It was attached to a basketball goal post that snapped.
(Witness) “Went right where the bounce house was and then it just flapped it up in the air and it kept spinning up in the sky and the kids just keep falling out of it.”
Four children injured, one seriously. Three taken to the hospital, some with broken bones. They landed on the sand. Police say it could have been much worse. The bouncy house then sailed over the top of palm trees and a four-lane highway.
