Michael McDowell Spills On The Coca-Cola 600
Sunday is race day as NASCAR hosts the longest race of the year — the Coca Cola 600… NASCAR has two new dads… the Carolina Panthers’ Thomas Davis sets the pace at Charlotte and NASCAR picks its next Hall of Fame class.
FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh reports in “FOX in the Fast Lane”:
This weekend drivers take on the longest race of the season, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte. Leavine Family Racing’s Michael McDowell told me:
(McDowell) “Yeah it’s a long grueling race… It’s trying on not just on the drivers, but on the race cars and the teams.”
McDowell said that a fire at the team’s garage was not going to keep them from racing because:
(McDowell) “We were fortunate to have a few race cars that were spared in the fires.”
Kyle Busch and wife Samantha, now the proud parents of a baby boy born May 18th and Brad Keselowski and girlfriend, Paige White had a baby girl, May 19th.
Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, the NFL’s Man of the Year, will be the honorary pace car driver for the Coca-Cola 600.
And, the next class to be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame will include two-time Sprint Cup champ Terry Labonte and Modified series champ Jerry Cook.
