Texas authorities say they're ready for possible violence after getting threats from biker groups against law enforcement.

FOX News Radio's Tonya J. Powers has more.

Waco police say they're prepared for retaliation after the fight that left nine dead and 18 hurt at a Waco restaurant that's now shut down after losing its franchise, since it knew ahead of time about that biker meeting.

The Texas Department of Public Safety's Joint Information Center issued a bulletin on May 1st that cautioned authorities about increasing violence between the Banditos and the Cossacks.

Sergeant W. Patrick Swanton says he was shocked at the number and kind of things they brought to that fight...

(Swanton) "Some of those weapons are as... I don't want to say prehistoric... But, we're talking chains with padlocks on the end of them."

170 gang members remain in jail... With bond set at one million dollars for each of them.
