The New England Patriots and their quarterback say they'll fight a suspension doled out by the NFL in the "deflategate" scandal.

FOX News Radio's Tonya J. Powers reports:

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says he will appeal the four-game suspension... and the team has thrown its "unconditional" support behind him - that coming from team owner Bob Kraft.

The Patriots are also fined a million dollars, and docked two draft picks -- all for using under-inflated footballs in the AFC Championship Game.

If the suspension holds, Brady would miss the September 10th opener, at which the Super Bowl championship banner is traditionally raised.

Brady would return to play the week of a Patriots-Colts AFC Championship rematch.
