The threat level at U.S. military bases has been raised over the threat of homegrown extremists.
FOX News Radio's Steve Taylor reports from Washington:
The Defense Department's Northern Command has raised its alert level to FPCON Bravo, which means more random security exercises, checking of IDs, searching of bags and vehicles and examining of packages at U.S. bases - including the Pentagon beginning this morning .
A spokesman says the ramp-up is not due to a specific, credible threat but is informed by recent events. That refers to the threat of homegrown terrorists inspired by ISIS.
