Justice Department To Investigate Baltimore Police

Attorney General Loretta Lynch has announced that the Justice Department will investigate the Baltimore Police Department.

FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is getting her wish — the Justice Department investigating whether Baltimore Police have been violating the Constitutional rights of those they serve.

The decision comes after Attorney General Loretta Lynch visited Baltimore and met with city and community leaders.

This investigation is separate from a civil rights probe the department has already opened into the death of Freddie Gray in police custody, which led to protests and riots in the city.  Six officers are charged in Gray’s death.
