Attorney General Lynch Considering DOJ Investigation Into Baltimore Police
Attorney General Loretta Lynch will decide over the coming days whether the Justice Department will conduct a broader investigation into the Baltimore Police Department.
FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
The Justice Department has already opened a civil rights investigation… Now, it’s weighing a request from Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake to look into whether police have been engaging in unconstitutional practices.
At a hearing on Capitol Hill, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said:
(Lynch) ”I have not ruled out the possibility that more may need to be done. And I assure you, Senators, that I am listening to all voices.“
Lynch visited Baltimore this week, where she met with city officials, as well as faith and community leaders.
