Plane Forced To Turn Around; Worker Trapped In Cargo Hold

A sleepy stowaway forces a plane to turn around.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Foster has the story:

Pilots and first-class passengers on-board an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to Los Angeles heard banging and screaming…

(Cooper) “We had an initial report from Alaska Flight 448 that was heading to Los Angeles shortly after takeoff, had heard some screams from underneath in the cargo area.”

A baggage handler says he fell asleep down there. Airport spokesman Perry Cooper says the pilot turned back around…

(Cooper) “Port of Seattle police and fire department officials helped find the crew member that was inside the cargo hold area. They checked him out from a medic standpoint. He was fine – no injuries.”

He was checked out at a hospital and released. The FAA is investigating.
