The Pentagon says Russia intercepted a U.S. reconnaissance plane.
FOX News Radio's Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington.
Calling it "unsafe and unprofessional", the Pentagon is filing a complaint to Russia about what they say was the interception of a U.S. plane that was flying north of Poland in international airspace.
Pentagon spokesman Mark Wright says the interception took place in the context of a changed security environment in view of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
U.S. officials say the Russian fighter pilot intercepted the plane at a high rate of speed, using dangerous maneuvers. Russia denies any wrongdoing.
