Each episode this rather regal music welcomes us to ‘Downton Abbey’, but not for much longer. The program’s producers — Carnival Films and ITV — today announced the story of the Crawley family, and the people who serve them, is coming to an end.
The show, through its five seasons on the air, has more than two million likes on Facebook, nearly half a million Twitter followers and 11 Emmys.
But loyal legions are wondering what they will do without their guilty pleasure. The final season will start showing this winter in America.
