NASCAR ends its West Coast swing at the Auto Club Speedway with Sunday’s running of the Auto Club 400… NASCAR says a random tire check found no irregularities with two teams and Kurt Busch gets a special honor from his hometown.

FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh reports in “FOX in the Fast Lane”:

This weekend, drivers head to the two mile oval track at Fontana, and for California native Kevin Harvick, though he’s enjoying a bit of a hot streak, now it’s all about…

(Harvick) “Staying focused on what we need to do for California and the past history and the things that have happened there over time.”

Kurt Busch’s first race after a three week suspension produced a top ten finish, so what’s his strategy to get a win this Sunday at Fontana?

(Busch) “Me and Tony Gibson, the lead engineer (Johnny) Klausmeier, we’ll hit the books hard this week, figure out what we can do for Fontana, which should be similar to Homestead and we’ll go from there.”

Busch, a Las Vegas native will be one of five inductees going into the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony scheduled for June 19th.

And NASCAR gives Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano’s tires the “all clear” after conducting one of their regularly scheduled tire audits, following Sunday’s race at Phoenix.
