Former General David Petraeus has agreed to a plea bargain that may keep him out of prison.
Fox News Radio's Steve Taylor reports from Washington.
General David Petraeus, once the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, became CIA Director but quit after he was accused of sharing classified information with a woman who was writing a book about him... a woman who became his mistress.
Now, the Justice Department says Petraeus has signed a proposal to plead guilty to one count of mishandling classified material, in exchange for a recommend punishment of probation.
The deal will go before a federal judge, who still would have the option of sending Petraeus to prison.
