NHL Player Traded After Daughter’s Letter Goes Viral [VIDEO]

Who says you can’t go home again? A pro hockey player’s daughter helps make it happen.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Foster reports.

Jordan Leopold was playing for the Columbus Blue Jackets, his wife Jamie and four kids back home in Minnesota.

Jamie found a letter written by their 11-year-old daughter Jordyn — asking the Minnesota Wild to trade for her dad. She put it on Facebook.

(Allen) “I saw this and I had to call his wife immediately and say I wanna read this on the radio.”

Paul Allen’s a radio host and family friend, reading part of that letter saying Minnesota could use a new defense-man anyway:

(Allen) “So can you please, please, please ask the Jackets if you guys can get him?”

The managements of the two teams saw the letter and worked out a trade that made sense for both teams, and the Leopold family.
