After nine days of testimony, Eddie Ray Routh has been found guilty of capital murder in the deaths of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield, sentenced by the Erath County Judge:

(Judge) “By statute I will now impose sentence in this matter: confinement for life in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice without the possibility of parole.”

A jury of ten women and two men didn’t buy the defenses claim that Routh was insane when he opened fire at a nearby gun range in 2013, unloading over a dozen bullets into the two men. And the jury came back after less than two-and-a-half hours with their decision.

Taya Kyle was not in the courtroom and Eddie Ray Routh showed no visible emotion as he learned his fate.
