A Texas jury reached a verdict in the trial of the man accused of fatally shooting 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield.
FOX News Radio's Jeff Monosso in Stephenville, Texas has the story:
After nine days of testimony, Eddie Ray Routh has been found guilty of capital murder in the deaths of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield, sentenced by the Erath County Judge:
(Judge) "By statute I will now impose sentence in this matter: confinement for life in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice without the possibility of parole."
A jury of ten women and two men didn't buy the defenses claim that Routh was insane when he opened fire at a nearby gun range in 2013, unloading over a dozen bullets into the two men. And the jury came back after less than two-and-a-half hours with their decision.
Taya Kyle was not in the courtroom and Eddie Ray Routh showed no visible emotion as he learned his fate.
