High Times: Alaska Legalizes Marijuana
Alaska has become the third state to make it legal to grow and smoke pot.
FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers has the story.
Alaska joins Washington State and Colorado in making pot legal.
It bans smoking in public, but doesn’t define what that means, and lawmakers have left the question to the alcohol regulatory board.
Adults can not only keep and use pot in Alaska, but they can transport, grow it and give it away.
The second phase will create a regulated and taxed marijuana. It won’t start until next year at the earliest.
But, while possession is no longer a crime under state law, enjoying pot in public can get you a $100 fine.
