Scorpion Stings Passenger On Plane
Snakes on a plane sounds scary enough. How about a scorpion?
FOX News Radio’s Pat O’Neill has more.
Just before an Alaska Airlines flight bound for Portland, Oregon was due to take off from Los Angeles Saturday, a scorpion stung a woman passenger.
The plane returned to the gate and the woman was checked by medics. She refused any more medical treatment, but didn’t get back on the plane.
The flight attendants killed the scorpion and checked overhead compartments for any other unwanted creatures before the flight, which was also carrying Oregon State University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams, took off about an hour late.
It’s unclear how the scorpion got on the plane, but the flight originated in Mexico.
