Police Issue Arrest Warrant For Punxsutawney Phil
The rough winter in the Northeast has some people blaming the weatherman… or weather animal.
FOX News Radio’s Chris Foster reports:
There’s an arrest warrant out for Punxsutawney Phil – the groundhog that comes out on February 2nd to mostly bum people out.
(Roy) “Phil said we had six more weeks of winter but he didn’t tell us how much snow we were actually going to get.”
The warrant, issued by police in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Lieutenant Denise Roy tells FOX:
(Roy) “We believe Phil is armed and dangerous because Phil is hiding in an undisclosed location. We keep getting tips from people that they’ve seen him and they want us to go get him and hold him accountable for the information that he did not give to us.”
The whole thing’s a goof, obviously, meant to lighten the mood of people digging out from under all that snow.
