World Freedom Declines
A new report says the world has become less free.
FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers has details:
The Freedom House annual study says 60% of the world’s population live in countries that are not completely free.
It looked at 195 countries and 15 territories and found that 61 countries became less free last year, while just 31 improved.
Terrorism had a big affect on those numbers.
Syria ranked among the world’s worst countries.
Russia was classified as not free, along with the Crimean Peninsula, which was recently annexed by Moscow.
The U.S. remains among the highest ranked free countries but the report does make note of the U.S. Senate report on CIA torture and police killings of unarmed black men.
