Both the U.S. and Russia are getting ready to send one person each into space for an entire year.

FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports:

NASA astronaut Scott Kelly is in the final stages of getting ready to spend a year aboard the International Space Station.

(Kelly) “Oh I’m feeling great. I think my fellow crew members are feeling great as well, and we’re excited to be here, finishing up our U.S. training.”

Kelly soon departs for Russia, where in March he and cosmonaut Mikhail Korniyenko will blast off for their year in orbit. Kelly says he’s got everything together. No need for a last meal.

(Kelly) ”So, for me, most of it’s surrounding logistics, like preparing my house and my family, and things like that, for me to be gone for over a year.”
