House Passes Bill Blocking Obama’s Immigration Actions
House Republicans take aim at the President’s immigration actions with a vote to strip funding from a larger Homeland Security bill.
FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
There was heated debate, but a measure that funds Homeland Security through September, while rolling back President Obama’s executive actions, made it through the House.
Illinois Democrat Luis Gutiérrez accused Republicans of playing politics with peoples’ lives.
(Gutiérrez) ”The fruits of your actions today will cause only anger and outrage.”
House Speaker John Boehner argued the President’s actions are illegal and unconstitutional.
(Boehner) “Enough is enough.”
Even if it clears the Senate, President Obama is expected to veto the bill.
