For a Presidential Run Mitt Romney Has To Embrace His Business Success
Ed Conard, visiting scholar at AEI, former partner at Bain Capital and author of “Unintended Consequences”, dropped by to talk about the 2016 elections and why Mitt Romney should run for President. Ed explained that if more people were able to see Mitt in private they would be very impressed about how capable, thoughtful he is, how much integrity he has, how much he genuinely cares about the middle-class, working-class and the poor. Ed however does admit that Mitt has to embrace the success he has had in business because he didn’t get rich by cutting costs, he grew successful companies that served customers better than their competitors. Ed admitted that what went wrong for Mitt was that he allowed the President to define him as an evil businessman and he didn’t fight back hard enough.
