In this interview Nadia Manzoor discusses her early years growing up in a conservative Pakistani Muslim home in North London. She also talks about social norms, misconceptions and her autobiographical one-woman show "Burq Off!" In her one-woman show she embodies 21 different characters - a domineering father, soulful mum, saucy English friend and Islamic studies teachers whose interests range from slapping to pornography. Nadia details her once conflicted sense of identity that made her question repressive cultural norms.
