President Obama and the new Republican Senate Majority Leader may be sitting down to knock back a few drinks.

FOX News Radio’s Jill Nado reports.

President Obama’s done his beer summits before, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is from Kentucky, and he’s a fan of his home state’s bourbon.

So, the two may get together at the White House for the ‘bourbon summit’. We asked bourbon blogger Tom Fischer — also of Kentucky — to recommend a few brands.

One of his top choices is Blue State, Red State Bourbon — which comes with two very different labels.

(Fischer) “Whether you buy the one with the elephant on it or the one with the donkey on it, they’re in their red and blue bottles. One whole red bottle. One whole blue bottle. It’s the same bourbon.”

He’s also recommending Jefferson’s Presidential Select, and then there’s Old Blowhard Bourbon.
