John Boehner Re-Elected As House Speaker

    John Boehner

It’s a third term for John Boehner as Speaker of the House.

FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern reports from the Capitol:

    New Congress

Nearly two dozen House Republicans voted for somebody other than John Boehner. Still, not enough to deny the Ohio Republican a third term as Speaker of the House.

(McMorris Rodgers) “He calls himself a regular guy with a big job. And that job, he says, is to listen.”

Washington Republican Cathy McMorris Rodgers nominating Boehner.

But Florida Republican Daniel Webster won a dozen votes, more than any other Conservative challenger.

Democrats mostly supported former Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
