Former New York Governor Mario Cuomo Dies [VIDEO]
Former New York Governor Mario Cuomo has died at the age of 82.
FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern reports:
For more than a decade Mario Cuomo wasn’t just the Governor of New York, he was a giant figure on the national stage and a leading voice for the Democrats liberal cause.
(Cuomo) “A shining city is perhaps all the President sees from the Portico of the White House or the veranda of his ranch.”
Cuomo delivering the keynote at the 1984 Democratic National Convention, taking issue with the Shining City on the Hill described by then President Reagan.
Cuomo was a three-term governor.
His son, Democrat Andrew Cuomo, was just sworn-in for a second term in the New York Governor’s office.
