High Heels Hold Power, Study Says
A new study on the power of the stiletto. The results are published online in the journal “Archives of Sexual Behaviour.”
What is it about women and shoes…
(‘Sex and the City’) “Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes…. I thought these were an urban shoe myth.”
Turns out Manolo’s or Jimmy Choos or any high heel can change a man’s behavior. Researchers in France made a scientific study out of this, sending 19-year-olds in a range of shoe heights out on assignment.
Among the findings: The women in heels were nearly twice as likely to get men to stop and answer a questionnaire, fifty percent more likely to have a dropped glove picked up by a man, and approached in a bar in half the time.
And though it may anger feminists and be hazardous to backs and ankles, the study author says high heels, make women more beautiful.
