Beauty Queen Murdered

    A Miss World candidate has been murdered in Central America.

    FOX News Radio’s Simon Owen reports.

    The body of Miss Honduras 2014 found buried by a river in the Honduran mountains.

    Police saying 19-year-old Maria Jose Alvarado — and her sister had been shot to death. And they say the sister’s boyfriend has confessed to killing them.

    Maria had been due to head abroad this week to compete in the Miss World pageant. The final of which is in London next month.

    The two women were last seen on Thursday — leaving a party in a car without a licence plate.

    The Miss World Organisation saying it’s devastated by the loss.

    Earlier this year, a former Miss Venezuela was killed during a robbery.
