The Discovery Channel is getting an earful from animal rights activists over an impending broadcast of a man being swallowed up by an anaconda snake.
FOX News Radio's Eben Brown reports:
Remember that "Anaconda" flick with J-Lo?
The Discovery Channel is going to air a special with wildlife expert Paul Rosalie allowing a real anaconda to swallow him.
(Rajt) "No genuine wildlife expert would advocate for some kind of stunt like this to be undertaken."
Lindsay Rajt with PETA says it's animal abuse, since the snake feeds infrequently and when only necessary.
(Rajt) "Making this snake use up energy by swallowing this fool on national TV, and then possibly regurgitating him, would have left this poor animal exhausted."
Rosalie claims the snake was not harmed.
