This Sunday, the Chase goes to Phoenix International Raceway for the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500, the last race of the Eliminator round before the season finale at Homestead. And, another post race fight involving Brad Keselowski costs Hendrick Motorsports a lot of money.

FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh reports in “FOX in the Fast Lane”:

This week’s race at Phoenix will whittle the field of eight drivers down to the final four, who are eligible to race for this year’s championship.

For Jeff Gordon, even with two career wins at this track…

(Gordon) “There’s plenty of things that can happen there that can take you out of contention.”

For Brad Keselowski, a win this weekend is needed, but…

(Keselowski) “Everybody’s very desperate, the points are very, very, very close. Anyone can have a bad day and be out of it.”

And another post race brawl, this time at Texas. Jeff Gordon angry at Brad Keselowski for making contact with his car costing him the win, went after him in pit row, but as Brad tried to leave, Kevin Harvick shoved Brad, setting off a multi-team fight.

NASCAR slapped Gordon and Kasey Kahne’s teams with one hundred and eighty-five thousand dollars in fines, put their crew chiefs on probation, and suspended four crew members. NASCAR, however, did not fine Keselowski, Gordon, or Harvick for their role in the fight.
