President Obama admits U.S. intelligence missed the mark in Syria.
FOX News Radio's Jared Halpern reports:
President Obama concedes to CBS' "60 Minutes," U.S. intelligence underestimated the strength ISIS was gaining in Syria.
(President Obama) "Over the past couple of years, during the chaos of the Syrian civil war, where essentially you have huge swaths of the country that are completely ungoverned, they were able to reconstitute themselves and take advantage of that chaos."
The President also acknowledging airstrikes are, in effect, helping Syrian President Bashar Assad.
President Obama saying he recognizes the contradiction, but argues ISIS and other terror groups in Syria present a direct threat to the U.S.
