A report that thousands of families caught coming into the country illegally are failing to report to federal immigration offices.
FOX News Radio's Steve Taylor reports:
When the masses of children and other would-be immigrants turned up at the Mexican border last summer, the Department of Homeland Security said in general they'd be deported. Were they?
This week, DHS told immigration advocates in Washington that about 70 percent of those who were told to report to federal immigration offices never showed up there. The Associated Press reports that's about 41,000 people who went somewhere. Fewer than a 1000 people have been deported, AP says.
