The U.S. and Arab partners hit ISIS targets inside Syria, as the U.S. expands airstrikes against the group.

FOX News Radio's Jared Halpern has more from the White House.

Making good on a strategy that takes on ISIS wherever they are, the U.S. and Arab allies launched several airstrikes at targets inside Syria.

(President Obama) "The overall effort will take time. There will challenges ahead. But we're gonna do what's necessary to take the fight to this terrorist group."

President Obama, moments before leaving for the United Nations General Assembly, where he'll continue to press allies.

Simultaneous to the ISIS strikes, U.S. missiles also hit another group in Syria, known as the Khorasan. An al-Qaeda offshoot a Pentagon spokesman says, was in the final stages of a plot targeting Europe or the U.S. homeland.
