The ex-IRS official at the center of the targeting scandal is breaking her silence.
FOX News Radio's Rachel Sutherland reports:
Lois Lerner became a high profile enigma when she pleaded the 5th during testimony before the House Oversight Committee.
(Lerner) "I've been advised by my counsel to assert my constitutional right not to testify or answer questions related to the subject matter of this hearing."
Now, Lerner has spoken out in an exclusive interview to Politico. In it, she offered no apologies, saying she did best she could under the circumstances.
She also said she's not a political person -- said she's voted for both Democrats and Republicans in the past.
