Australia Foils Terror Plot, Sends Troops To The Middle East In Fight Against ISIS [VIDEO]
Australian troops are heading to the Middle East to join the U.S. in the fight against ISIS.
FOX News Radio’s Emily Wither reports.
As Australian troops head to the United Arab Emirates, the country’s Prime Minister Tony Abbott has told them their mission is just and necessary:
(Abbott) “They’re people who will do us harm, there are people who hate who we are and how we live.”
Abbot had previously said a 600-strong force would be deployed to an American military base in the UAE. The head of Australia’s spy agency says 20 people are believed to have returned from fighting in Syria and pose a national security risk.
Earlier, police carried out the nation’s largest-ever counter-terror raids against suspected Islamists.
